Tower Upkeep

Above the free tower allowance, part of each kill reward pays for tower upkeep. This deduction has a maximum limit.

A longer maze buys more firing time, but it needs more towers, and more towers means less gold per kill. Build the maze that pays for itself, not the longest one you can draw.

The feed next to your gold shows both halves: what the enemy paid, and what your base consumed.
